About CVLI Denmark
CVLI Denmark makes it simple and legal for churches and church-related organizations to show films. Through agreements with more than 900 film studios and producers, we provide access to show films from DVDs, streaming services, and other legal sources.
The license offers you a simple and cost-effective way to show films in compliance with applicable regulations.
The need
It is becoming increasingly common for churches and church-related organizations to organize film nights or use films to highlight specific topics during teaching. Leaders and staff want to use the latest films. However, Danish and international copyright laws stipulate that films are intended solely for home and personal use—a fact also stated on the packaging and at the beginning of the films.
Our license is the solution
Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) was established to provide an affordable and easy solution for churches and church-related organizations! Through agreements with producers and film studios, Christian Video Licensing International grants churches and church-related organizations the rights to screen films and TV programs from over 900 companies. The license applies to all your church facilities, including confirmation classrooms, parish halls, drop-in centers, and campsites.
What the license covers
- Pastors and church staff can use films to illustrate points in sermons or teaching.
- Sunday schools, children's clubs, confirmation classes, and youth groups can watch the latest videos.
- In educational settings, you can use films for teaching and training purposes.
- Churches and church-related associations can host film nights.
Find the perfect scene
How do we find films with positive values? How do we find film content that fits a specific theme? When you hold our Church Video License, you get free access to the CVLI Vault. It is an exciting search tool that helps you find the perfect film or a relevant film clip; it features lists and search options based on topics and Bible passages, as well as ideas for using film in all areas of church ministry.
A user-friendly partnership
For more help regarding which films you can use, CVLI Denmark and Film Og Tro have entered into a user-friendly partnership, allowing you to see — directly alongside individual film reviews — which films are covered by the CVLI license. Fortunately, this applies to the majority of the more than 2,000 reviews on filmogtro.dk. Furthermore, filmogtro.dk features a wide range of articles and lists that highlight some of the best films while helping you choose the right one for your needs.
